1.प्रसिद्ध वैज्ञानिक तथा लेखक डॉ जयंत नारलीकर नासिक में 26 से 28 मार्च के बीच होने वाले 94वें अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य सम्मेलन अर्थात एआईएमएलसी के अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुने गए हैं।

2.बदहाल होती आर्थिक स्थिति के बीच सीरिया ने पांच हजार सीरियाई लीरा का बैंक नोट पेश किया, यह अब सीरिया में चलन में सबसे बड़ा नोट हो गया है।

3.चेन्नई के संदीप कुमार और कोट्टयम के आमिर सैयद 23वीं जेके टायर एफएमएससीआई राष्ट्रीय रेसिंग चैम्पियनशिप में क्रमश: फार्मूला एलजीबी 4 और नोवाइस कप वर्ग में चैम्पियन रहे।

4.हरियाणा के रोहित पुरुषों की फ्रीस्टाइल राष्ट्रीय कुश्ती चैंपियनशिप के 65 किलोग्राम वर्ग में चैंपियन बने जबकि नोएडा में संपन्न हुई प्रतियोगिता के 86 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में दिल्ली के प्रवीण चाहर ने खिताब जीता।

5.वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता तथा विधि आयोग के पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष एन एम घटाटे का निधन हो गया। वह 83 वर्ष के थे। 

6.महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे द्वारा 26 जनवरी 2021 को नागपुर में अंतरराष्ट्रीय जीव उद्यान का उद्घाटन किया गया।

7.संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने भारत की विकास अर्थशास्त्री जयंति घोष को एक उच्चस्तरीय सलाहकार समिति में नामित किया है, जो कोविड-19 के बाद पैदा होने वाली प्रमुख सामाजिक-आर्थिक चुनौतियों पर प्रतिक्रिया के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासचिव को सुझाव देगी।

8.राष्ट्रीय रग्बी लीग के पूर्व मुख्य कार्यकारी टॉड ग्रीनबर्ग को आस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटर्स संघ अर्थात एसीए के नए प्रमुख के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।

9.कानून मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद द्वारा मतदाता पहचान पत्र के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक संस्करण की शुरूआत की गयी इसे मोबाइल फोन अथवा कंप्यूटर पर डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है।

10.द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध पर आधारित डेनमार्क की फिल्म 'इनटू द डार्कनेस' ने 51वें भारतीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव के समापन समारोह में गोल्डन पीकॉक पुरस्कार जीता।

1. Famous scientist and author Dr. Jayant Narlikar has been elected as the President of the 94th All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan i.e. AIMLC to be held from 26 to 28 March in Nashik.

 2. In the midst of the current economic situation, Syria introduced a banknote of five thousand Syrian lira, it has now become the biggest note in the trend in Syria.

 3. Sandeep Kumar of Chennai and Aamir Syed of Kottayam were champions in the Formula LGB4 and Novice Cup category in the 23rd JK Tire FMSCI National Racing Championship respectively.

 4. Rohit of Haryana became the champion in the 65 kg category of the men's freestyle national wrestling championship while Praveen Chahar of Delhi won the title in the 86 kg weight category of the competition held in Noida.

 5. Senior advocate and former Deputy Chairman of Law Commission NM Ghatate passed away.  He was 83.

 6. The International Zoological Park was inaugurated in Nagpur on 26 January 2021 by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

 7. The United Nations has nominated India's development economist Jayanthi Ghosh to a high-level advisory committee, which will suggest the UN Secretary-General to react to the major socio-economic challenges arising after Kovid-19.

 8. Todd Greenberg, the former chief executive of the National Rugby League, has been appointed as the new head of the Australian Cricketers' Union, that is, the ACA.

 9. Electronic version of voter ID card launched by Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, it can be downloaded on mobile phone or computer.

 10. Denmark's film Into the Darkness, based on the Second World War, won the Golden Peacock Award at the closing ceremony of the 51st Indian International Film Festival.
